Realgar (gemmy doubly-terminated crystal)

This is a wonderful miniature sized specimen of these excellent, famous, classic crystals of world-class Realgar from the Shimen Mine in China. This piece is rather gemmy with well-formed, sharp, lustrous, striated faces and a fiery red color internally when backlit. For certain, some of, if not THE best Realgar crystals in the world have come from this mine. The piece is not only well-terminated, but actually DOUBLY-terminated and I can't find any real damage or points of attachment, so I'm calling it a complete "floater" ! To find gemmy Realgar crystals from any locality is rare, and piece of such fine crystallization and quality are certainly scarce on the market. Valued $1,000.
