Item Description

A 2.0 cm, lustrous, translucent, rich cherry-red realgar prism is nestled amidst a very aesthetic cluster of glassy, transparent to translucent, light amber to near colorless, doubly terminated and twinned calcite crystals on this exceptional large combination plate from the well-known Shimen Mine. The beautiful gem-like calcite at the peak is 5.1 cm tall. Essentially pristine, with only the most trivial of periphery wear. A dramatic and fine combination from the Bob Trimingham Collection and acquired in 1995.
