A cabinet sized plate, richly covered in beautiful cherry red realgar crystals (up to 2.4cm) from the famous and ancient Shimen Mine, the largest and perhaps the oldest realgar mine in China. The mine has been active for over 1500 years, but specimens are now uncommon, especially of this quality! Note: Realgar is highly light sensitive and should be stored in darkness to prevent the mineral from turning brown over time, as this has been stored for the last 20-plus years. Ex.
