Item Description

The well-known Felsobanya Mine is noted for its realgar specimens, but very seldom will you see an old-time example of the species. Sharp, lustrous and translucent, cherry-red realgar crystals to 7 mm are well-placed in a vug on this showy old piece. Bruising is noted, but this is a highly representative, old-time and seldom available example of the species from this noted locale. Ex Crunden and Howard Belsky Collections. The Crunden Family were major contributors to the Harvard Mineral Museum in the 1800s. Comes with an original old Crunden label (rare to get ahold of!). Seldom do you see these historic pieces for sale
