Item Description
Arguably the finest quality realgar crystals in the world are found at the Shimen Mine. The size compared with the electric red color makes them very popular with collectors. This is a very fine and aesthetic combination, The gemmy, intensely cherry-red crystals are dramatically accented by the cluster of glassy, translucent calcite crystals. Most of the calcites are doubly terminated. The striking vertical crystal being is 3.7 cm long and the DT flat-lying curved crystal on top looks like a carnivore tooth! Complete all-around, the bit of scattered bruising and periphery wear at the base are noted, but certainly have very minimal impact to this very colorful, sculptural and and excellent combination. These are amongst the most beautiful red crystals in the mineral kingdom. Please keep in mind that they can be very light-sensitive and turn dark over time when exposed to light!
