Item Description

A very showy and aesthetic combination specimen from the famous Shimen Mine of China. A striking cluster of gemmy, cherry-red, realgar crystals is very jauntily perched on the edge of translucent and lustrous, gray, doubly terminated calcite scalenohedron. Interestingly, the calcite has preferentially glassy faces and frosted faces. Tufts of snow-white picropharmacolite are scattered on the realgar and calcite. Trivial bruising is noted to both the realgars and calcite crystal and is certainly nothing to detraction. A highly representative and excellent combination example of the species and locale. It has multiple fine display possibilities.
