Item Description

These impressive and beautiful highly lustrous, reddish-orange realgar prisms resemble stout crocoite crystals! The aesthetically clustered and isolated crystals, to 2.7 cm, are partially translucent and some crystals have striking hoppered terminations. The underlying gray chalky carbonate matrix adds stark contrast and pizzazz. This came from the famous late 2005 find at this mine. This excellent and showy piece looks great from either side. Classic Baia Sprie realgar.
