Item Description
Raspite and stolzite are signature combination species from the renowned locale. Raspite is an ultra-rare Scheelite Group species and is the monoclinic dimorph of stolzite. Broken Hill is the raspite Type Locality. Specimens are VERY RARE~! Gemmy, lustrous, rich golden-yellow raspite prisms to about 2 mm are richly and atractively clustered atop the sculptural gossan matrix along with a scattering of bright yellow, tabular stolzite crystals. Some bruising is noted, but this remained a showy and excellent example of the rare combination species from this noted locale. Ex Bob Trimingham Collection and a "Very old specimen acquired from F. Krantz in 1975", according to his label. This has so many crystals, and they are small but bright, so it is a very rich piece overall. Valued $750
