RARE: Ruby xls on Platinum xls (famous lab-grown combo.)

This is a rare mineral-related ephemera from the years when Chatham Labs was working on new ways to synthesize and grow Gem rubies as crystals using a platinum substrate. Fantastic, sharp, rich cherry-red, gem, synthetic ruby crystals are aesthetically and richly strewn on the sparkly sharp platinum crystal plate. The large ruby is 1 cm! The platinum is pure and is crystallized! This surreal combination miniature was lab grown in San Francisco about 20 years ago. VERY RARELY on the market today in this outstanding quality, I have seen only a few in my years of dealing come up for sale. This one was in the Barlow collection as of 1998, and I sold it then and it disappeared until now. Valued at $1250-1500. Cherry-red fluorescence is an extra bonus to these rubies.
