Rare colored zoisites were prominently featured in the 2009 Mineralogical Record issue on the Merlani Tanzanite Mines. This gemmy/translucent, tapered cutie is rich bubblegum-pink - way beyond the normal color suite! Part of the termination is water-clear, with the rest of the crystal being translucent. Contacting is noted on both sides, but there is no damage, per se. A very RARE and pristine pink color varietal of the species from this famous locale. 6.67 carats. This is a full sized thumbnail with NEON, hot color, that is almost never seen in the species! It is seldom found. Valued $2500
