Rare large yellow Celestine xl (Trimingham Coll.)

Yellow celestine crystals are rare from the famous quarries of Monroe County where most are blue. Large solid yellow crystals are EXTREMELY RARE! The impressive front has straw-yellow color, high glassiness, translucence and classic chisel terminations. The back is festooned with clusters of the tiny calcite rhombs. An exceptional large rarity despite the right edge of the termination being cleaved and a contact on bottom right, with very little bruising. Possibly from the Holloway Quarry by the rare yellow color. White fluorescence on the calcite. Ex Bob Trimingham Collection. Value? A MUST for the locality or species collector.
