Item Description
A striking and rare, complete all-around, floater vanadinite specimen from Mibladen! This piece is composed solidly of variably sized, lustrous, brick-red, hexagonal, vanadinite prisms. Several crystals on one end are 1.0 cm. Many of the vannies have gemmy areas and some of the crystals have an orangey-brown flash on some faces. The vannies have a preferential coating of brown material on one one side of the specimen, but can be strongly minimized by rotating the piece, as you can see in the photos. The piece is in superior shape for the dense coveage. I see only four gently bruised crystals on one side. Rare and highly representative of the species and find. Ex Schlichter Collection. Valued at $300-400.
