Item Description

A rare and superb, doubly terminated, floater axinite crystal from Brazil. The lustrous crystal is strongly striated and has a near razor-sharp, termination edge. The backlit photos highlight the classic clove-brown color and translucency of the crystal. Complete all-around, modest sidewear near one termination is noted, as is a trivial bit of edgewear. This is older, outstanding material and is very seldom available from this locality in this quality. Ex Mitch Gunnell and Ed Davids Collection. This fine piece has an excellent pedigree.
