Item Description
Blue spinel from Montana is an old classic, seldom seen in good display specimens today. This aesthetic thumbnail features two, intergrown, sharp octahedrons. The lustrous, partially gemmy crystals have gorgeous, neon sapphire-blue color. The backlit photo highlights the gemminess and beautiful color saturation. I have seen only a handful of good examples of this material. From the Jaime Bird Collection, an excellent thumbnail of this rarity. 19.7 carats or nearly 4 grams.
