A RARE style pyrite "bar" from the well-known Buick Mine. This striking piece has a nearly 90 degree right angle bend! It looks like a 'V' in one orientation. The near cubic arms consist of lustrous, brassy-metallic intergrown pryite crystals. A fascinating style with highly unusual chemistry. Outstanding and rare material from the Rex Bannister Collection, a well-known Missouri collector who passed away in 2010. Valued at $1200-1500. From an East Coast collection.
