Item Description
Arizona produced, in a few pockets from one old mine, clearly the world's best examples of this rare manganese species. Nearly covering its matrix is a plate of equant, splendent, black, ramsdellite crystals, to 0.6 cm across. One of the larger pieces from a discovery around 2010 by a friend of ours who found the old adit and went underground at considerable risk (shout out to Roy Jones), this is very 3-dimensional overall. Many crystals are quite isolated, which is unusual. Valued $1000-plus.
