Item Description

Rammelsbergite is uncommon nickel diarsenide and is RARE from the Mohawk Mine. This showy and excellent combination rarity features rich, bright silvery metallic, microcrystalline masses in a nodular section of rare mohawkite, a rare mixture of algodonite, domeykite and arsenic-rich copper. It is found only two places in the world - both on the Keweenaw Peninsula. The Mohawk Mine is obviously the Type Locality. A possibly unique combination from this locality. Ex Bob Trimingham Collection and purchased in 1966. A must for the locality or species collector.
