Item Description

An imposing, large and aesthetic quartz combination from this famed mine and the Art Soregaroli Collection. The sharply terminated, glassy, transparent to translucent quartz hosts a well-placed, 7.0 cm cluster of parallel-growth, metallic, wolframite crystals. The wolframites are beautifully accented with about six, sharp, lustrous, cassiterite crystals, to 1.2 cm, and a rich peppering of tiny, brassy pyritohedrons. A drusy quartz overgrowth cloaks much of the piece. The tip of the quartz crystal is dinged. This remains a very showy, highly representative large example of the species and locale.
