Quartz with Topaz

Here we have an attractive "floater" plate of translucent, nearly colorless, prismatic crystals of Quartz measuring up to 3.8 cm long. If you flip the piece over, you can see there are a good number of shiny, very gemmy, sharp Topaz crystals that are nearly colorless, but some show a very pale sherry hue. No damage that I can find with the naked eye, and certainly one of the best example of Quartz with Topaz that we've ever had to offer from this locality. From the collection of Bill ("Burma Bill") Larson of Fallbrook, California. Bill is a well-known gem and mineral dealer as well as a miner and collector. Bill traveled the world for decades in search of fine gems and minerals, and was directly involved in the in-person acquisition and importation of superb specimens and stones from Myanmar (Burma).
