Item Description
Pretty pastel-pink small rhodochrosite crystals and sparkly drusy quartz are preferentially deposited on faces of this striking, sculptural quartz crystal cluster from the famous Yaogangxian Mine, where the mineral is quite uncommon. The secondary quartz crystals dramatically flare off of one side of the stout crystal with a stunning myriad of stepped terminations. The lustrous quartz crystals are water-clear to translucent and the stepped-growth prism faces markedly enhance the piece. Complete all-around and essentially pristine, with only a bit of gentle bruising or contacting. Rhodochrosite specimens are a rare accessory from the Yaogangxian Mine and this is a most impressive and architectural combination. 2018 -2019 finds, we were told.
