Quartz with Quartz phantom

Item Description

This is a razor-sharp quartz point with a razor-sharp phantom lurking within, easily visible through any faces all around. It is not polished, either! Most crystals of this size and clarity would be polished to improve the viewing of the phantom but this is so clean and crisp and easy to see anyways, no polishing was needed. From the large Quartz suite of the Meieran collection. We were not quite sure the nature of this phantom itself, but as it seems a ghostly white layer atop the phantom it is almost certainly not another species but rather a a microscopic layer of quartz itself, that is the phantom (i.e. multiple generations of quartz with slightly different chemistry changes during growth, one of them being very brief indeed).
