Item Description
These bizarre quartzes, from a single find at the famous Shangbao Mine in about 2007, have all but disappeared from the market - and this is one of the more impressive that I have seen for a large cluster. This dramatic and sculptural, large cluster of tapered quartz crystals, to 8.5 cm, reminds me of the famous quartz "prases" from Serifos Island, Greece. The variable gray prisms have a nifty, sugary, "wet-look". A few scattered brassy, pyrite cubes and stibnite crystals to 2.2 cm are a super accent. Seldom on the market today. It comes with a custom-made and engraved lucite base valued at $150, for free. Ex Webb Collection. Valued at $1500.
