Quartz with Marcasite inclusion

I have not seen many of these stones on the market. I am told that they are from the Diamantina area in Brazil. I remember seeing Pyrite included Quartz gems when I was a kid from this mine, but they looked somewhat different. Nonetheless, this stone features an unusually flattened i.e., compressed crystal of metallic Marcasite (not Pyrite according to the label) completely frozen inside of this colorless, gemmy "cut corner rectangle" Quartz stone. I think it is a very attractive and highly collectible "inclusion" stone. It was not the easiest gem to photograph, and truly looks better in person. These came out about 15 years ago, and we haven't seen many of them since.
