Quartz (with iron oxide inclusions)

A showy thumbnail specimen of the famous, yet elusive material from Red Feather Lakes featuring several sharp, well-formed, hexagonal prisms of Quartz which feature gorgeous rich red colored inclusions of iron oxide which create a beautiful contrast against the white / colorless hue of the Quartz crystals. The largest crystal measures 1.3 cm. The upper portions of the crystals have an almost solid coverage of the brick red iron oxide, but lower down, you can see more of a "Specularite"-esque Hematite style inclusion. Very good conidtion, with very little damage to speak of.
