Quartz with Iron Oxide Inclusions

Item Description

A lovely specimen of Quartz from the Orange River in South Africa featuring dozens of colorless, GEM quality, hexagonal prisms measuring up to 1.7 cm long which are included with attractive red spots of iron oxide (possibly Hematite or Goethite). Some of the inclusions have created slight "phantoms" in the Quartz crystals. This is not the typical style we're used to seeing from this locality, but the effect is still just as pleasing. Very attractive up close and a great piece to add to any Quartz collection. From a prominent Midwest collection that we purchased literally a few weeks ago.
