Item Description
Lovingly referred to as "Cactus Quartz", this fine small-cabinet piece is from the family of specimens from the Boekenhoutshoek area in Africa. The Quartz does contain some delicate wisps of purple, but what really stands out on this, as in all the specimens, are the fields of Quartz crystals that girdle the scepters. Scintillating, they add volumes of sparkle and beauty with their high luster and razor-sharp form. The color is due to iron staining. This aesthetic specimen displays well in all directions, with the central Quartz crystals averaging about 3.5 cm. Erroneously marketed as being from the Magaliesberg Range, these Boekenhoutshoek pieces are instantly recognizable and absolutely unique and exotic form.
