Quartz with Inclusion (ex Bill Larson Collection)

Item Description

A beautiful piece of polished colorless Quartz with unknown inclusions from Mogok. The label accompanying the piece calls it a "pebble" inclusion, but it also looks like there is a negative crystal form inside the stone as well. Perhaps the pebble moved through the Quartz as it was forming, and left a bit of a "trail" behind it to create this effect. The piece weighs 15.94 carats and measures 16.72 mm x 14.95 mm x 9.23 mm. From the collection of Bill ("Burma Bill") Larson of Fallbrook, California. Bill is a well-known gem and mineral dealer as well as a miner and collector. Bill traveled the world for decades in search of fine gems and minerals, and was directly involved in the in-person acquisition and importation of superb specimens and stones from Myanmar (Burma).
