Quartz with Hematite 'roses'

A full cabinet sized three-dimensional display specimen of the famous (and now hard to find) specimens of Quartz with Hematite from the Lechang Mine. What really sets this piece apart from most Lechang pieces is the superior luster of the Quartz crystals! Every prism on this piece is not only incredibly gemmy (nearly water clear in most area), but they have a glistening luster that really allows them to stand out. The Quartz crystals are accentuated by the associated "roses" of grey Hematite sitting along the sides of the piece, but the most eye-catching Hematites are those which are either included within or gently coating the Quartz crystals, creating a slight reddish hue in areas. I love the fact that this is a big and showy specimen, and despite a bit of roughness around the base / periphery, it's still in really good condition overall. The largest Quartz crystals measures 8.3 cm long and some of them have gentle surface tracings (almost like a pseudo-etching) where Hematite is either partially intergrown or tried to grow to create a really cool effect. Despite the fact that these are contemporary, these specimens from Lechang somehow have a "classic" look to them. Priced in the inventory at $3,500 for size, quality, aesthetics and the fact that these are not coming out anymore and good ones are continuing to rise in value.
