Quartz with Hematite inclusions, Dolomite, Sphalerite

Absolutely stunning included layers of brick-red hematite in these surreal looking, stepped quartz crystals. The quartz crystals look like bizarre, colorful, multi-level pagodas! This is a RARE and colorful large mounded combination from this obscure polymetallic-precious metal producing area of Jiangxi, China - Dongxiang County. The piece is dramatically enhanced by the rich covering of highly lustrous, pearlescent dolomite rhombohedrons, many of which, are also tinted by hematite. Striking, multi-hued, iridescent Chalcopyrite covers scattered Sphalerite crystals on the front of the piece, with more Sphalerite and Chalcopyrite visible on the rear attachment. This is an amazing, outstanding and rare large included quartz combination from the less well-known locale. It is from a small collection of beautiful Chinese combination pieces that we purchased in China during COVID times, and is probably an older piece, not contemporary.
