Item Description
A striking, beautiful and pristine small cabinet from an uncommon Chinese locale - Wutai Mountain, Yuncheng, Shanxi. The numerous glassy, water-clear quartz crystals, to 2.9 cm, on this sculptural plate have dramatic, sharp, vibrant brick-red hematite phantoms below the gem colorless terminations. These resemble classic hematite-included amethyst crystals from Thunder Bay, Ontario and pieces from the Orange River area of Namibia. This exceptional piece has superlative sharp crystallization including the phantoms. A must for the quartz or Chinese collector.
