Quartz with Hematite inclusions

Item Description

Quartz is very uncommon from the Xikuangshan Fe-Cu deposit of Yunnan Province. This showy plate is covered with glassy quartz crystals prefentially included with rust-red hematite. Most of the hematite appears to be concentrated in the quartz bodies, not in the terminations. The hematite phantoms look very nifty upon close examination. A bit of bruising and periphery wear are noted, but certainly nothing to detraction. Rare and excellent material from this Chinese locale.
