Quartz with Hematite inclusions

Sculptural and very aesthetic 360-degree small cabinet cluster of variably-sized, tapered, hematite-included quartz crystals from the unique mid-1990s finds at the 2nd Sovetskii Mine. The lustrous, translucent, sharply terminated prisms have rich reddish-orange color, that GLOWS when backlit! The brown coatings and inclusions and attached small crystals add color, contrast and interest. Very nearly pristine, with only a gently bruised tip to a smaller sidecar crystal. The piece displays well without aid. Ex Kurt Hefendehl Collection, a well-known German collector who amassed a world-wide collection of over 6000 pieces. Artistic and colorful example of the famous find and locale, now only available in recycled collections.
