Novo Horizonte is well-known for producing these attractive specimens featuring Quartz, Rutile and Hematite. Typically we either see crystals of Hematite/Rutile sitting on top of Quartz, or they are included inside and then polished to show their beauty. This is an unusually UN-polished specimen featuring a gorgeous "star" consisting of metallic silvery-grey Hematite in the center, with bright golden "needles" of Rutile flaring out in six directions, sitting on massive Quartz matrix. It looks like this piece was possibly cobbled out of a larger specimen, revealing the beautiful "star" inside. A really cool representative piece of this classic and world-famous material.
