Quartz with Hematite

Item Description

Here is dramatic, Hematite coated Quartz crystal cluster from Morocco. The crystal group is composed of dozens well-formed and distinctly terminated Quartz crystals that are arranged somewhere between divergent and slightly disorganized with the crystals ranging in size from 1 to 9 cm in length with the longest one doubly terminated, although slightly hidden behind another crystal. The Hematite coating on these is a bright brick-red and relatively uniform with some darker 1 to 2 mm spots found locally on the crystals for added texture. It's interesting that several of the crystals have little or no coating on them that reveals their crystal-clear nature and provide great contrast. Either way it's a dramatic Quartz specimen with only peripheral damage and a few missing crystals despite its fragile and 3-dimensional nature. Unusual!
