Quartz with Hematite

Impressive, very large plate of Quartz crystals colored a deep, Fire Brick red by Hematite. There are over one hundred sharp crystals on this plate. The luster is excellent, and the largest crystal is about 3.2 cm. As is often the case with hard-rock mining, some crystals were lost in the process, but there are so many on here that those missing are hardly noticeable among the red forest. With such great aesthetics, this is one of my favorites from the well-known Orange River area.
