Quartz with Hematite

Item Description

Nice combination of the classic Hematite-included Quartz, with Quartz, from the Orange River area. The luster is very good, and the red Quartz crystals range up to 3 cm, with the largest ones being doubly-terminated. The white Quartz has an outer phantom with included, non-oxidized Hematite. On the largest 4 cm crystal, part of this outer layer has been removed on one face of the termination. A good, representative locality piece.
