Quartz with Hematite

An architectural, aesthetic and very three-dimensional Quartz-Hematite piece from Jinlong Hill iron mining district, now a classic Chinese occurrence for this combination. Long, elegant, perfectly terminated Quartz crystals to 7 cm emerge from rosette-like clusters of black-brown, bladed Hematite crystals on this super attractive cabinet piece. The water-clear Quartz crystals are lightly sprinkled on parts of their exterior by less than 1 mm, Hematite crystals for great artistic effect. There are numerous, smaller, needle-like Quartz crystals around the base of the larger Quartz crystals and the Hematite bunches for great balance and composition. The Hematite rosettes are in tight groups to over 2 cm are clustered at the base of the piece are composed of thinly bladed crystals really complement the piece. This is a very fine combination specimen from Jinlong Hill, older material from the early to mid 2000s.
