Quartz with Hedenbergite inclusions

So-called Prase or Prasem quartz has always been highly valued by collectors, and apparently also recently by metaphysical followers. It is also stunningly beautiful quartz, on its own merit. Rare from Russia, this is an old piece from early 2000s finds at Dalnegorsk, with even and appealing color due to hedenbergite within. These unearthly green quartz crystals came out only once, from a small find in the early 2000's. Most of them were damaged, and few were actually "good" overall. The color is a more even, translucent green hue than with other finds of chlorite or hedenbergite included quartz from this prolific locality. In person, the distinction between this and other pockets is clear and you can see why these have also been more desirable. Over the years, I have bought back all I could as they turn up for sale. As an extra bonus, many people refer to these as crystals in the style of "beta quartz" and there is a whole debate about whether they are or are not high temperature beta quartz for those who care to google it (I believe they are regular quartz, that just look weird!)
