Item Description
Classic and excellent gem quartz crystals from this well-known Arkansas quartz quarry. The water-clear, flattened crystals have striking complex termination. The crystal faces are glass-clear to lightly-frosted and the subtle stepped-growth really adds character to this 360-degree specimen. The inclined fracture is illustrated as "Perfect Cleavage" on Dr. Megaw's label, indicating a natural break (lower right) and re-annealing together during growth, so there is a line there and a slight change in texture at the offset; and yet the crystal stayed together somehow and fluid healed the break.
