Quartz with Fuchsite (ex Matioli)

Item Description

A cool specimen of the chromium-bearing variety of Muscovite, Fuchsite with Quartz. Fuchsite used to be a valid species, but now is reserved for the greenish variety of Muscovite (most often chromium or vanadium bearing). This piece features lovely "rosettes" of foliated, green, hexagonal bladed crystals of Fuchsite frozen in and sitting on colorless Quartz crystals. Hard to find on the market in good crystallized specimens, and I know there aren't a lot of people who collect Mica, but this is a VERY worthwhile piece for your collection if you happen to be looking for one.
