Quartz with Dumortierite inclusions

I'm sure that some of you might have seen this material in the gem / lapidary trade in recent years, but to find a piece of actual CRYSTALLIZED Quartz with these Dumortierite inclusions is rare in my experience. This attractive thumbnail sized specimen features a sharp, well-formed, euhedral, white / colorless translucent prismatic Quartz crystal with notably strong indigo colored inclusions of Dumortierite at the base, along with certain edges of the crystal. The piece is in fine condition, and the combination of the two species together is notably hard to find in nature. The alluring color of the Dumortierite makes it all the more appealing. If you collect Quartz or inclusion specimens, this is a great opportunity to pick up a piece of this rarely seen material from the Vaca Morta Quarry in Bahia. From the collection of Shields Flynn.
