Quartz with Dumortierite inclusions

Quartz is certainly an "inclusion-friendly" species, and I don't say this in a pejorative manner, as some of the most well-known examples of the species feature other minerals frozen inside. This particular specimen is a sharp, well-formed, euhedral, white / colorless translucent Quartz crystal with notably strong indigo colored inclusions of Dumortierite on a few side. For several years, these particular specimens were almost exclusively seen in the gem / lapidary, because all the material was broken pieces of rough, but not too long ago actual CRYSTALLIZED specimens started showing up and they were a huge hit with collectors. They mind me on the classic pieces from South Africa included with Papagoite. This specimen is in good shape, but the termination is dinged, so it's not pristine, but the combination of the two species together is notably hard to find in nature, especially with this kind of color in the Dumortierite. If you collect Quartz or inclusion specimens, this is a great opportunity to pick up a piece of this rarely seen material from the Vaca Morta Quarry in Bahia.
