Item Description
A unique discovery from decades ago: Yellow and light green clay inclusions nearly fill the exceptionally sharp, gemmy and colorless quartz crystals in this exotic and sculptural, 360-degree, small cabinet cluster from the sandstone diggings at Corinto. The water-clear termination areas to the two large crystals are visually stunning and dramatically enhance the piece. Both large crystals, 6.4 cm long each, are doubly terminated. The Corinto area is well-known for excellent quartz specimens, that are similar in appearance to those produced from the sandstones of the Hot Springs area of Arkansas. In great shape, overall. Gentle bruising to the both large crystal terminations and a contact to a side car crystal are noted, but have negligible impact to the overall highly unusual quality of this piece from mid-2000s finds. From the Bill Larson Quartz collection case, of approximately 250 specimens, which we bought in 2023. It was a long-term, very diverse mix on display for decades at the Pala International shop as an educational and fun exhibit. It was started back in the late 1970s. An exotic and outstanding looking included quartz from Corinto. A classic and old find.
