Item Description

Quartz is not only an abundant species, but it's also what I would refer to as an "inclusion-friendly" mineral, as it can host many different species, sometimes creating visually appealling forms. This specimen comes from a recent discovery (2023) in the famed Shigar Valley featuring a single, very sharp, rather lustrous, GEM quality, colorless prismatic crystal of Quartz which features an alluring light moss-green colored internal "phantom" composed of "Chlorite" (probably Clinochlore or a similar species) floating inside. The piece is complete, though there is a separation mark on one of the prism faces where another Quartz crystal once grew. Some tiny nicks can be seen on the termination, so it's not 100% pristine, but it's still in very good shape, and is a fine example of this fairly hard to find material from the Shigar Valley.
