Item Description
These beautiful Quartz specimens are from a small "Alpine-type" deposit high in the mountains of Nepal, and are reminiscent of their European counterparts. This lovely small cabinet display piece is filled with sharp, well-formed, lustrous hexagonal prisms of Quartz which range to completely colorless and GEM quality to a dark grey-green hue due to dense inclusions of "Chlorite" (possibly Clinochlore). Virtually all of the Quartz crystals are pristine, and the piece has an attached base on the bottom for easy display.
This piece is from the collection of Chris and Agatha Galas, and was pictured on page 103 in the 2017 issue of the Mineralogical Record featuring Mineral Collections in California.
