The Swiss really take a great deal of pride in their quartz, and with good reason! This is a very fine, doubly terminated quartz crystal with a striking, steep termination. The preferential, rich dusting of sparkly microcrystalline is dramatic, when you rotate the complete all-around specimen. The razor-sharp, single termination is strikingly contrasted by the mountain range-like, mutiple terminations of the other end! This very fine crystal is from a more obscure Swiss locality, with few specimens being produced. Very nearly pristine, with only the most trivial of edgewear. Ex Howard Belsky Collection. A classic and excellent specimen of this varietal from the well known suite amassed by Belsky as a dealer and collector before his untimely passing in 1987.
