Item Description

A classic combination from the famous Cavnic Mine in Romania featuring a predominant, sharp, lustrous, white/colorless prismatic hexagonal crystal of Quartz associated with many smaller secondary accenting crystals, and contrasting brassy metallic Chalcopyrite for a beautiful presentation. For a time Cavnic was producing a lot of specimens, and the abundance on the market perhaps created indifference among collectors, but these specimens are some of the best crystallized examples of their respective species to come out of any mine in many years. Now there is very little from this locality for sale, and if you appreciate fine crystallized examples of well-known species, be sure to pick this one up as it's showy, fine quality and really pretty in person.
