Quartz with Astrophyllite inclusions (ex Obodda)

A fine quality, VERY lustrous, sligthly smoky colored Quartz crystal with razor sharp faces plays host to fibrous / "needle"-like inclusions of golden Astrophyllite from this unique locality in Pakistan. Zagi Mountain is the home of some of the more exotic minerals from Pakistan as it's not the typical granitic pegmatite, but rather a metamorphic Alpine-type deposit. I believe that Zagi Mountain is the only confirmed locality for Astrophyllite in Pakistan. Good quality on the display side, and very showy. I can see one tiny nick near the termination of the Quartz, and it's contacted on the back where it was removed from the pocket. Still a hard to find and worthwhile specimen, especially if you collect inclusion pieces. Ex Herb Obodda dealer stock. Valued at $650.
