Item Description

Here we have an attractive polished Quartz crystal from Serra do Cabral. I think it's safe to say that Quartz is easily the most "inclusion friendly" mineral out there, as you will find a wide variety of other minerals frozen inside of Quartz crystals from around the world. Here we have a prismatic Quartz crystal that has been polished to better show the alluring inclusions of what I'm told is an Amphibole species. The crystal is only partially included as you can see areas where it is nearly water clear, but the inclusion zones show really interesting swirling patterns of soft and warm reddish brown to cream colored hues. Nobody knows for certain which mineral or minerals are present inside the Quartz, but they certainly make for a unique and desirable appearance in what would otherwise be an ordinary Quartz. If you collect inclusion minerals, or interesting Quartz specimens, pick this one up.
