Item Description

Beautiful turquoise-blue Ajoite, a very rare copper silicate and Amethyst are included in this surreal floater quartz crystal cluster from the famous finds at the Messina Mine. The striking large doubly terminated quartz crystal is dramatically and richly studded with smaller quartz crystals on one side. The large quartz is gemmy to translucent. Four of the six prism faces are frosted, but two are glass-clear with enhancing stepped-growth providing views into the interior. The first generation of quartz is partially coated with both ajoite and amethyst and the second quartz generation preserves the remarkable phantoms in both the large and small quartz crystals. Complete all-around and essentially pristine, with only small broken quartz points noted. Amazing for a doubly terminated floater specimen with both ajoite and amethyst!
